8 Oz Gloves

(39 products)

8oz gloves are a versatile competition weight. Common in amateur boxing tournaments and professional bouts across multiple weight classes, 8oz strikes a balance between hand speed and protection that makes them the most popular fight-night glove size.

For boxing, 8oz is the standard competition weight for welterweight through middleweight divisions. In Muay Thai, 8oz gloves are often used for fights — the lighter weight allows for the hand speed needed in combination striking while still providing adequate knuckle protection. Some fighters also use 8oz for pad work and light technical sparring, though most gyms recommend 12oz or heavier for regular sparring.

At MMA Fight Store, our 8oz range covers both lace-up and hook-and-loop options from Fairtex, Twins, Cleto Reyes, and other fight-sport specialists. Whether you are competing in boxing, Muay Thai, or kickboxing, an 8oz fight glove is likely what you will need come weigh-in day. Find your pair here.
