Boxing Bags & Punching Bags — Built for Every Round
A good boxing bag is the foundation of any fight training setup. Whether you're working combinations, building power, or conditioning for rounds, the right bag makes all the difference. We stock Australia's widest range of boxing bags and punching bags — from compact home setups to full commercial-grade heavy bags.
Types of Boxing Bags We Stock
- Heavy Bags — The classic. Hanging bags in 4ft, 5ft, and 6ft lengths for full-body striking. Ideal for power shots, combinations, and cardio rounds. Brands: Fairtex, Everlast, Hayabusa.
- Freestanding Bags — No mounting needed. Fill the base with water or sand and start training. Perfect for home gyms, garages, or anywhere you can't ceiling-mount. Brands: Fairtex HB14 Max, Hayabusa.
- Banana Bags — Long 6ft Muay Thai bags for low kicks, teeps, and knees. Essential for any Thai boxing setup. Brands: Fairtex HB6.
- Angle & Uppercut Bags — Specialty bags for uppercut drills, hooks, and close-range work. Fills the gap standard heavy bags miss.
- Speed Bags & Double-End Bags — For timing, rhythm, and hand speed. Not just for boxers — great for any striker.
How to Choose the Right Boxing Bag
Weight matters: A good rule of thumb is a bag roughly half your body weight. Lighter bags swing more — better for timing and movement. Heavier bags stay put — better for power.
Space & mounting: Hanging bags need a solid ceiling mount or wall bracket (we carry those too). Freestanding bags need about 1.5m of clear space around them. If you're short on room, a freestanding or wall-mounted bag is your answer.
Filled vs unfilled: Some bags ship pre-filled, others you pack yourself. Unfilled bags are cheaper to ship and let you control the density. Filled bags are ready to go the moment they arrive.
